Dr. Hojung Joseph Yoon is an accomplished physician with over two decades of experience in internal medicine, hospitalist care, and obesity/addiction medicine. He is the founder and visionary behind Moden Medical Group, where he combines his vast medical knowledge with cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative healthcare solutions, including hospitalist service, telemedicine, locum tenens staffing, and artificial intelligence (AI) integration.
Dr. Yoon began his medical journey with a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, School of Medicine, Brooklyn. He complemented his medical training with a Master of Divinity from Harvard University, where he engaged in pastoral care and counseling, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to compassionate patient care. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
His leadership extends to directing clinical development projects in medical informatics, which has shaped his understanding of integrating technology with healthcare delivery. Dr. Yoon has been involved in developing electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical decision-support programs, contributing to the advancement of patient care through informatics.
As a board-certified internist with a specialization in obesity medicine, Dr. Yoon brings expertise in both acute care and chronic disease management. His extensive background in addiction medicine has also earned him recognition for his work in treating substance use disorders and promoting mental health.
Dr. Yoon is deeply invested in the future of healthcare, actively engaging in research and professional development. His work as a principal investigator in studies on circadian rhythms in addiction and the use of intranasal leptin for obesity treatment reflects his passion for exploring innovative medical therapies. Additionally, his involvement in AI training equips healthcare professionals with the tools to leverage technology to improve patient outcomes.
